A CLEVER mum has revealed her genius hack for sealing gift bags without the need for sellotape.

Ash Reid, from Glasgow, regularly shares her shopping hauls and finds on her TikTok account, where she boasts 16,000 followers.

In her latest video, Ash shared a handy trick for closing gift bags.

According to her, you're supposed to pull each end of the string through the opposite hole - and do the same for the other side.

She said: "This is my absolute favourite hack ever, and it actually works.

"If you have a gift bag and you're looking to seal it, I would usually just put a bit of tape over the top or just leave it open with tissue.

"But this is what you need to do.

"See these little strings that look like shoelaces? You want to pass them through the opposite holes.

"It means you can simply just pull it and the bag is sealed.

"How handy is that?"

The simple trick takes less than a minute and looks better than sellotape.

The clip has racked up more than 13,000 views and 500 likes since it was posted.
